Norwegian Organization Sukoon Collaborates with PRCS KP to Promote Health and Social Welfare
Zubair Mahmood, Board Member and Coordinator of the Norwegian organization Sukoon in Pakistan, met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, at Governor House Peshawar. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Farzand Ali Wazir, Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Red Crescent (PRCS KP), highlighting the spirit of collaboration between local and international humanitarian organizations.
Invitation to Pakistan Day Ceremony in Oslo
During the meeting, Zubair Mahmood formally invited Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to attend the Pakistan Day ceremony to be held in Oslo, Norway, as a special guest. The invitation was graciously accepted by the Governor, who will attend the ceremony alongside other dignitaries. Chairman PRCS KP, Farzand Ali Wazir, will also represent the Red Crescent at the event, symbolizing the strengthening of international humanitarian and welfare partnerships.
Signing of MoU Between Sukoon and PRCS KP
A significant highlight of the visit will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sukoon and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Red Crescent. Under this partnership, Sukoon will collaborate with PRCS KP to advance health and welfare initiatives for special individuals across different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This collaboration is expected to enhance the capacity of PRCS KP in providing targeted social services and health support to vulnerable communities.
Appreciation and Support for Social Welfare Initiatives
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his appreciation to Shahid Jamil, Chief Executive of Sukoon, and Zubair Mahmood, emphasizing that there is great potential for improvement in the health and social welfare sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He reaffirmed that the provincial government is ready to provide full support and cooperation to initiatives that uplift the well-being of marginalized and special individuals.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering international collaboration, ensuring that the Red Crescent’s humanitarian mission continues to expand through joint health and welfare projects, and further strengthening social support for vulnerable communities across the province.
