PRCS works as auxiliary to the government/public authorities in disaster preparedness as well as response to any disaster/emergency situation.

Since its inception, PRCS has been playing a vital role in responding to mega disasters and PRCS’s response has been highly acknowledged at all levels. However, the role of PRCS is not confined only to disaster response.  PRCS attaches greater importance towards enhancing community resilience so as to better prepare them to cope with any disaster/emergency situation.
