PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Holds Orientation Session on Migration and Displacement
An orientation session on Migration and Displacement was successfully organized at the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Headquarters (PHQ) for staff members and volunteers. The session was aimed at enhancing understanding of migration-related humanitarian challenges and strengthening institutional capacity to respond effectively to displacement situations.
Expert Facilitation and Key Insights
The session was facilitated by Mr. Raza Haider, Deputy Director Migration and Displacement, PRCS National Headquarters, who delivered an in-depth and comprehensive overview of migration trends, displacement dynamics, and the evolving humanitarian needs of affected populations. He highlighted key challenges associated with internal displacement, cross-border migration, and the vulnerabilities faced by displaced communities, while also outlining the humanitarian response mechanisms of PRCS at both national and provincial levels.
Opening Remarks Emphasize Preparedness
The session formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Abid Ur Rehman Marwat, Secretary PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In his address, he emphasized the critical importance of awareness, preparedness, and continuous capacity building to effectively address humanitarian issues arising from migration and displacement. He underscored the role of trained staff and volunteers in delivering timely, dignified, and needs-based assistance to affected populations.

Staff members and volunteers from PRCS KP Provincial Headquarters actively participated in the interactive session.
