PRCS Shangla, in Collaboration with Turkish Red Crescent, Distributes Food and Water to Flood-Affected Families

Shangla — In a continued effort to support communities affected by recent floods, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Shangla Branch, in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC), organized a distribution drive of dry food packages and Nestlé water among 50 vulnerable families in Tehsil Puran, Shangla.

The initiative aimed to provide immediate humanitarian relief to households struggling with food insecurity and clean water shortages in the aftermath of the devastating floods. Each family received essential food supplies and safe drinking water, ensuring temporary sustenance as recovery efforts continue in the region.

The distribution ceremony was held at the PRCS District Branch Shangla, where representatives from the Turkish Red Crescent were also present. Their participation reflected the spirit of international solidarity and partnership that continues to strengthen PRCS’s humanitarian outreach across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking on the occasion, PRCS officials expressed gratitude to the Turkish Red Crescent for their unwavering support and cooperation in assisting flood-affected communities. They reaffirmed PRCS’s commitment to alleviating human suffering and restoring hope among those impacted by natural disasters through timely and coordinated relief interventions.
