PRCS KP Leadership Meets Governor KP to Discuss Humanitarian Initiatives in Tirah
Mr. Farzand Ali Wazir, Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Red Crescent (PRCS KP), held an important meeting with Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at the Governor House, Peshawar. The meeting was also attended by Advocate Imran Wazir, Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Merged Areas, highlighting the collaborative approach toward addressing humanitarian challenges in the region.
Focus on Humanitarian Needs in Tirah
The discussions centered on the humanitarian situation in the Tirah region, particularly focusing on the needs of local communities and the ongoing relief activities. Chairman Farzand Ali Wazir briefed the Governor on the health programs, emergency relief operations, disaster response measures, and community resilience initiatives currently being implemented in Tirah. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to further enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian services in the area.
Government Support and Appreciation
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian services provided by PRCS KP in Tirah, recognizing the organization’s commitment to serving vulnerable populations in deprived and remote areas. He assured that the government will extend all possible support to ensure that relief and development programs are implemented efficiently and reach those most in need.
Commitment to Joint Measures and Expanded Services
During the meeting, both sides agreed to undertake joint measures to expand health, education, and emergency relief programs in Tirah and other underprivileged areas of the province. The focus will remain on providing timely and effective assistance to communities affected by natural disasters, socio-economic challenges, and other vulnerabilities.
This meeting reinforced the shared commitment of PRCS KP and the provincial government to strengthen humanitarian services, improve community resilience, and ensure that vulnerable populations receive the support they need in a coordinated and sustainable manner.
