PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Conducts First Aid Training for Prime Youth Parliament Members

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PRCS KP), through its First Aid & Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Department, successfully conducted a comprehensive First Aid Training session for members of the Prime Youth Parliament.

This initiative reflects PRCS KP’s continued commitment to empowering youth with practical life-saving skills and strengthening community-level emergency preparedness across the province.

Empowering Young Leaders with Lifesaving Skills

The training session was specifically designed to equip emerging youth leaders with essential first aid knowledge and emergency response techniques. A total of 15 participants took part in the session, gaining hands-on experience and theoretical understanding of basic life-saving interventions.

By targeting young leaders, PRCS KP aims to create a ripple effect — enabling trained individuals to spread safety awareness and emergency response knowledge within their respective communities and networks.

Key Areas of Training

Participants were trained in fundamental first aid and pre-hospital emergency care techniques, including:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Management of bleeding and wounds

  • Handling fractures and sprains

  • Response to choking and unconsciousness

  • Initial management of shock and burns

  • Safe casualty transportation techniques

The interactive session combined practical demonstrations with scenario-based learning to ensure participants could confidently apply their skills in real-life emergencies.

Building a Culture of Preparedness

PRCS KP believes that preparedness begins at the community level. By equipping youth with emergency response skills, the organization is strengthening grassroots resilience and fostering a culture of responsibility and humanitarian service.

Young leaders trained in first aid become valuable assets during public events, disasters, and everyday emergencies, often serving as the first line of response before professional medical assistance arrives.

Commitment to Humanitarian Service

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society remains steadfast in its mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering without discrimination. Through structured training programs and youth engagement initiatives, PRCS KP continues to expand its outreach and build safer communities.

This successful First Aid Training for Prime Youth Parliament members marks another step forward in PRCS KP’s ongoing efforts to promote safety awareness, empower the next generation, and save lives through knowledge and preparedness.
