PRCS KP and German Red Cross Conduct Relief Operation for Flood-Affected Families in Buner
Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – October 2025:
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Branch, in collaboration with the German Red Cross, successfully conducted a relief operation to support flood-affected and vulnerable families in Buner district. Under the supervision of PRCS KP Chairman, Mr. Farzand Ali Wazir, a total of 400 food packages were distributed to deserving households, bringing essential relief to those impacted by recent floods.
The distribution ceremony was attended by key representatives and partners from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including Mr. Cyriax Bretigum (Head of Office, Pakistan), Mr. Asif Khan, Mr. Muhammad Kasur Abbas (Program Delegate), Mr. Sher Ahmed Shah (Program Manager), PRCS officials, and local community representatives. Their presence highlighted the strong partnership and shared humanitarian vision between the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and the German Red Cross.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Farzand Ali Wazir emphasized the vital role of collaborative humanitarian efforts in reaching out to those most in need.
“This initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society to reach out to vulnerable and disaster-affected communities across the country through its provincial branches and partner organizations. We remain dedicated to ensuring timely and dignified assistance to those who need it most,” he said.
Chairman Wazir further expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the German Red Cross and all humanitarian partners for their continuous support and cooperation in serving humanity. He reaffirmed PRCS’s commitment to uphold its mission of alleviating human suffering and building community resilience in times of crisis.
The relief activity in Buner marks another milestone in the ongoing partnership between PRCS KP and the German Red Cross, which continues to strengthen disaster response capacities, enhance community preparedness, and provide life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable populations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
