PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Distributes Relief Packages to Flood-Affected Families in District Buner

Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under the leadership of Chairman Farzand Ali Wazir, has successfully facilitated the distribution of 300 high-quality relief packages among displaced and flood-affected families in District Buner.

The humanitarian initiative was made possible with the generous support of the Ameer Begum Welfare Trust and other philanthropic partners. Each relief package contained 50 kilograms of essential food items, Nestlé drinking water, warm blankets, and mosquito nets — all delivered directly to the affected households to ensure immediate relief and comfort.

Chairman Farzand Ali Wazir personally supervised the relief distribution process, accompanied by District President Yousaf Ali Khan, PRCS delegation members, and local community leaders. Their presence underscored PRCS’s continued commitment to transparency, community engagement, and efficient humanitarian service delivery.

The relief effort also received generous contributions from philanthropists and The Church of Jesus Christ, reflecting a spirit of interfaith solidarity and shared compassion for those in need.

Chairperson of the Ameer Begum Welfare Trust and former Member of the National Assembly, Ms. Rubina Shaheen Wattoo, expressed gratitude to PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for its effective coordination in reaching vulnerable families. She extended heartfelt prayers for the swift rehabilitation and recovery of all those affected by the floods, emphasizing the importance of collaborative humanitarian action in rebuilding lives and restoring hope.
