Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Visits PRCS Free Medical Camp in D.I. Khan
D.I. Khan – Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, visited the free medical camp established by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Kokar, D.I. Khan. He was accompanied by PRCS KP Chairman, Farzand Ali Wazir.
During the visit, the Governor and Chairman were briefed on the camp’s performance, medical services provided to patients, availability of medicines, and ongoing humanitarian activities. The briefing also highlighted the daily work of the medical team, the number of patients treated, and other health programs in progress.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the need for immediate healthcare facilities and sustainable rehabilitation measures in flood-affected areas. He praised PRCS Pakistan for its outstanding humanitarian response during the floods across Swat, Buner, Swabi, Shangla, and D.I. Khan, recognizing the organization’s efforts in serving communities in need.
The visit was also attended by PRCS KP Secretary Syed Ali Ahsan, Dr. Iftikhar, ADO Samreen, PRCS D.I. Khan District Secretary, and other staff members.
The Governor directed that similar medical camps be set up in Kacha areas across the river to ensure wider access to healthcare facilities. He noted that challenges such as dengue and other post-flood epidemics have increased the demand for medical assistance, and stressed that government institutions and humanitarian organizations must work together to address these needs.
Chairman PRCS KP, Farzand Ali Wazir, commended the hard work of staff and volunteers, reaffirming PRCS’s commitment to serving vulnerable communities with dedication.
This medical camp stands as a practical demonstration of PRCS’s mission to provide timely and effective healthcare, while strengthening district-level health facilities and ensuring quality medical assistance for those most in need.
