Farzand Ali Wazir
Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Since the establishment of Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 1973, Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been playing its role in serving humanity as well as improving the capacity of various institutions in peace time.
The purpose of the institution formed under the Constitution of Pakistan is to act as a Auxiliary body of the government. That is why since 2005 alone, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has assisted more than 14 million people in the province. Including 2005 earthquake, the IDP camps during the 2008 operations, the 2010 floods, and the COVID19 Pandemic as well as the recent flood situation. More than 170 million cost of relief materials have been delivered to the communities in need so far.
It is a great honor for me to serve as Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Since its inception, PRCS KP has remained committed to the noble mission of serving humanity, extending relief in times of crisis, and building the resilience of communities across the province.
As I take on this responsibility, my vision is to further strengthen PRCS KP as a leading humanitarian organization. Our focus will be on expanding healthcare and emergency services, empowering the youth through training and capacity-building programs, increasing volunteer engagement, and fostering partnerships with national and international stakeholders to enhance our outreach and impact.
With the support of our dedicated volunteers, staff, and well-wishers, I am confident that together we will continue to uphold the principles of humanity, impartiality, and service to those in need.
