Afghan Commissionerate Commissioner Visits PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Strengthen Humanitarian Cooperation

Mr. Shakeel Muhammad Safi, Commissioner of the Afghan Commissionerate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited the provincial office of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Red Crescent Society (PRCS KP), where he held an important and meaningful meeting with Mr. Farzand Ali Wazir, Chairman PRCS KP. The meeting took place in a pleasant, positive, and trusting atmosphere, providing an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two organizations in serving vulnerable populations.

Focus on Humanitarian and Social Welfare Collaboration

During the meeting, discussions centered on humanitarian assistance, social welfare, and the support of vulnerable and homeless communities. Both sides agreed that in light of current social and humanitarian challenges, mutual cooperation and coordination between government authorities and welfare organizations is essential to ensure timely and effective aid for affected and deserving segments of society.

Chairman Mr. Farzand Ali Wazir provided a comprehensive briefing on the overall performance, organizational structure, ongoing projects, and future vision of PRCS KP. He highlighted the society’s services in health, emergency relief, disaster management, community development, and welfare initiatives, emphasizing that helping vulnerable and homeless populations remains a top organizational priority.

Provincial Secretary Highlights Administrative and Operational Strength

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Abid-ur-Rehman Marwat, Provincial Secretary PRCS KP, who presented a detailed briefing on the administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the organization. He highlighted potential areas for enhancing cooperation between the Afghan Commissionerate and the Red Crescent, including information sharing, capacity building, and joint welfare projects.
