PRCS KP Conducts RFL Rapid Needs Assessment in Flood-Affected Areas of Buner

In continuation of its emergency response to the devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has deployed field teams to Buner District for rapid needs assessment. The purpose of this assessment is to identify the most urgent requirements of the affected communities, including food, shelter, safe drinking water, health services, and other humanitarian needs.

Alongside the assessment, a Restoring Family Links (RFL) Manager is part of the PRCS team to address one of the most sensitive challenges — cases of unidentified dead bodies. Through RFL services, PRCS is working closely with affected population & District Authorites to provide free phone call services and help reconnect families separated due to the disaster.

By combining technical assessments with humanitarian services like RFL, PRCS KP ensures that relief efforts are needs-based, people-centered, and compassionate, addressing both the physical and emotional impact of the floods.

PRCS remains committed to standing with the people of Buner until recovery and dignity are restored.
