Dedication in Action: Mr. Kabir Khan’s Role in PRCS Flood Relief 2025

Mr. Kabir Khan, serving as a Field Officer in the joint PRCS/German Red Cross project in Swat, has truly emerged as a hero behind the scenes during the recent floods in District Buner. From the very first day of the disaster, he was among the frontline responders, ensuring that humanitarian assistance reached the most vulnerable communities affected by the calamity.

Deployed in the severely affected villages of Buner, Mr. Khan led his teams with dedication, courage, and compassion. He actively coordinated with local communities, facilitated the provision of cooked food parcels, and played a key role in identifying and registering beneficiaries in urgent need of support. His leadership ensured that relief operations were carried out effectively, promptly, and with dignity for those suffering in the aftermath of the floods.

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) acknowledges and deeply appreciates Mr. Kabir Khan’s tireless commitment and outstanding services. His efforts exemplify the true spirit of humanity and volunteerism that PRCS stands for — serving those in need, especially in times of crisis.

Behind the Scenes of PRCS KP Flood Response – The Tireless Efforts of Our Warehouse Manager

While the world sees the distribution of relief goods, medical camps, and shelters being set up in flood-affected areas, there is an entire chain of hard work and dedication happening quietly behind the scenes. At the heart of this effort is Mr. Abdullah, Warehouse Manager at PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Warehouse, whose commitment has been instrumental in keeping the relief operations running smoothly.

Since the beginning of the Monsoon Floods 2025 emergency, Mr. Abdullah has been working day and night to manage the complex logistics of the relief operation. From receiving goods generously donated by partners and donors, to handling the stock purchased by PRCS KP, to ensuring timely dispatches to flood-affected districts including Buner, Swat, Dir Lower, Shangla, and Mansehra, his efforts ensure that aid reaches families who need it the most.

The Provincial Warehouse in Peshawar has become a lifeline for PRCS KP’s response. Every cooked food parcel, family tent, hygiene kit, and non-food item that reaches a flood-affected household carries with it the silent dedication of the logistics team led by Mr. Abdullah.

His commitment reflects the true humanitarian spirit of the Red Crescent Movement – working selflessly, often unnoticed, but making a life-saving difference for thousands of vulnerable people.

PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recognizes and deeply appreciates the hard work, resilience, and leadership of Mr. Abdullah, whose role reminds us that heroes of humanitarian action are not only those on the frontlines, but also those working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Together, every effort counts, every role matters, and every individual makes a difference.
