Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assistance to the Flood Victims Reach high as 346.27 million in Worth
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Acting Governor and President Pakistan Red Crescent Society Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani presided over a meeting of team PRCS KP at Governor House Peshawar.
In the meeting, the Acting Governor was briefed on the steps to help the people during the recent flood. It was informed in the briefing that the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has provided direct assistance to 233,000 people in the province, with a total value of 346.27 million. It was informed in the briefing that 2306 tents, free medical facilities and medicines to 9568 people, more than one million litres of clean drinking water, and cooked food to 7944 people, 3518 hygiene kits, and mobile phone cards to 900 families had been provided.
Similarly, 1040 mosquitoes, 2981 jerry cans, and an awareness campaign has also been carried out in the flood-affected districts. Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani praised the Pakistan red crescent Society KP performance and directed to speed up relief work. On this occasion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said that soon after the appointment of the new chairman of The Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there was a serious flood situation, but so far the Pakistan Red Crescent is engaged in relief operations along with the government missionary to help the people in a very efficient manner.
Habib Malik Orakzai, chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thanked the acting governor for showing confidence and pledged that the Pakistan Red Crescent would continue to perform its duties as a constitutional body in a better way.
The meeting was attended by Pakistan Red Crescent Provincial Chairman Habib Malik Orakzai, Additional Secretary to Governor Saif-ul-Islam, Pakistan Red Crescent Society KP Secretary Syed Ali Hassan and Deputy Secretary Muhammad Iqbal, Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Goodwill Ambassador Zack Afridi, Sana Tajik, and Irfan Khan.
